American Airlines (AA) said overnight flights to Hong Kong would stay suspended during the northern hemisphere summer "due to the effects of the pandemic and resulting weak demand". Read More » The U.S. carrier will serve Hong Kong through London Heathrow and its oneworld alliance partner, British Airways. AA suspended nonstop flights to Hong Kong in the second half of 2020 in response to new COVID-19 testing rules in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It flies Los Angeles-Tokyo Narita-Hong Kong to avoid AA crew being quarantined in Hong Kong.
