Airbus, Green Earth Institute, Japan Airlines, Nippon Paper Industries and Sumitomo Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the development of processes to produce sustainable aviation fuel with bioethanol derived from wood.

Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) airport monitoring reports the country’s four largest airports - Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney - booked about A$2.6 billion (US$1.7 billion) in aeronautical revenue in 2023-2024, up 24.3% over the previous 12 months. Aeronautical revenue increased despite the four airports collectively handling fewer passengers than in pre-COVID-19 times, the ACCC said. “The increase in aeronautical revenues in 2023-2024 was driven largely by the continued recovery in international passenger traffic,” ACCC commissioner, Anna Brakey, said.

Cathay Pacific has selected Trax, a global provider of paperless maintenance and engineering software products, to support the digital transformation of its engineering division.

China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) has leased and delivered a two class A330-200 to Korean Air.

Vietnam Airlines, APG Group Pte Ltd and Saigon Tourist Group are to jointly develop air travel products and payment solutions.
