AirAsia X adds frequency to Kazakhstan

AirAsia X (AAX) will operate an extra flight a week from Kuala Lumpur to Almaty in Kazakhstan, increasing the route’s frequency to five services a week. Read More » The LCC opened the route in March 2024 and said it is recording a passenger load factor of 90%. The airline has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Almaty Tourism to jointly strengthen tourism links between Malaysia and Central Asia. “We are thrilled by the support of guests from both sides that allows us to provide more connectivity to Central Asia,” AAX CEO, Benyamin Ismail, said. “The increase in frequency between the two cities is driven by Almaty’s rising profile as a must-visit destination.”
