Vietnam approves Sun PhuQuoc Airways licence

Sun PhuQuoc Airways, a subsidiary of resorts and theme parks developer Sun Group, has been approved as Vietnam’s newest carrier, Vietnam News Agency reports. Read More » The airline intends to operate scheduled and charter flights to major tourism and financial hubs in Vietnam and abroad. Its maiden flight is planned for the fourth quarter of this year with initial routes to be southern tourist hotspot, Phu Quoc Island, and several key domestic and international destinations. To be incorporated with VND2.5 trillion (US$96 million) capital, Sun PhuQuoc Airways said it will have a fleet of 31 aircraft by 2030.
