Abu Dhabi-headquartered Etihad Airways and Mainland China-based SF Airlines have signed a joint business agreement to cooperate on a metal-neutral basis on cargo services between China, the Middle East and other markets.

Lufthansa has introduced free messaging, including the sending and receiving of photos, on smartphones or tablets for passengers travelling in all cabins on its long-haul flights.

LCC Peach is working with ANA Facilities Co, owned by All Nippon Airways’ parent ANA Group, to build a business jet hangar operation at Osaka Kansai Airport. “With a shortage of hangars within Japan, operating a hangar in the major city of Osaka will solve the parking space shortage issue for business jet operators and owners,” Peach and ANA Facilities said in a joint statement.

Recaro and Bag to Life have launched a collection of products for sale such as backpacks, laptop sleeves and headphone cases made from upcycling aircraft seats.

Royal Brunei Airlines has selected Intelsat to equip its A320neo fleet with inflight internet connectivity. The installation was expected to commence in the final three months of this year.

Airport services provider, SATS, and Kuehne+Nagel have introduced an expedited delivery service for urgent aircraft parts in Singapore to address aircraft-on-ground emergencies. “The new solution reduces delivery times and provides enhanced real-time shipment visibility, enabling faster return to service,” the pair said in a joint statement.

Air travel technology company, SITA, and Urban-Air Port will collaborate on building the digital infrastructure for the safe and scalable operation of urban air transport.

SriLankan Cargo has received the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Center of Excellence for Indecent Validators in Lithium Batteries (CEIV Lit-batt) certification.
