Batik Air touches down in Dili

Batik Air Malaysia has commenced flights to Dili in Timor-Leste. Read More » The inaugural service, operated by 737 MAX 8, registration 9M-LRH, landed at Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport in Dili on Friday June 6, following its four-hour flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The Lion Air Group carrier has scheduled two flights a week on the route. “We see enormous potential in this new route - not just in terms of passenger movement, but in the wider opportunity to invite Timorese travellers to discover Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings,” Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said. “As Timor-Leste expands its global outlook, we are honoured to offer a gateway to Malaysia and beyond, through KLIA’s extensive connectivity and Batik Air’s growing international network.”
