This year’s edition of the Paris Air Show, starting next week, may provide the stage for some of Asia-Pacific carriers to place substantial aircraft orders from major OEMs, according to unconfirmed press reports. Read More » Vietnam’s VietJet is in talks to order about 100 additional Airbus narrowbody jets, with preference for the A321neo model, Bloomberg Markets reported, saying the discussions are ongoing, and any deal could still be delayed or fall apart. AirAsia is in advanced discussions to place an order for at least 100 Airbus jets, a deal likely to mark the introduction to its fleet the A220, Reuters reported based on its industry sources. India’s IndiGo is considering placing an order for between 30 and 50 ATR 72-600s turboprops, according to Business Standard.
