LATAM to fly double daily Chile-Australia in southern hemisphere summer

Read More » The schedule increase will start in November when LATAM’s nonstop Santiago-Sydney rotation will increase from three times weekly to daily. The following month Santiago-Melbourne will be daily from three times a week at present. Both routes are served with 787 family aircraft. “By offering daily departures from Sydney and Melbourne, we are giving our customers more flexibility, choice and convenience whether they are heading off on holiday or travelling for business,” LATAM general manager of Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the South Pacific, Thibaud Morand, said. LATAM is the only airline operating between Melbourne and Santiago. Qantas Airways flies nonstop Sydney-Santiago and code-shares on LATAM’s Melbourne-Santiago and Sydney-Auckland-Santiago routes.
