Hong Kong Airlines to open Xi’an; adds frequency on established Asia routes

From July 18, Hong Kong Airlines will operate five times a week from its home hub to Xi’an, the city famous for its Terracotta Army. Read More » The airline will be the third carrier flying nonstop Hong Kong-Xi’an alongside Cathay Pacific and China Eastern Airlines. "This expansion highlights the strategy of Hong Kong Airlines to enhance its Asia-Pacific network," the airline said. "Following successful launches to Dunhuang, Xining, Vientiane and Da Nang, we are targeting high potential inland cities in response to market demand." Hong Kong Airlines also is adding flights to several Mainland cities: twice daily to Hangzhou and Nanjing and four times a day to Shanghai Pudong. Including Xi’an, Hong Kong Airlines will operate to 12 destinations in China.
