Delta Air Lines will expand its reach from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Asia with the introduction of twice a day A350 services from the U.S. west coast city to Hong Kong next June. Read More » In addition to accommodating growing passenger demand, the airline’s increased Asia schedule will significantly strengthen Delta Cargo’s trans-Pacific network, it said. “With the capacity to carry more than 20 tons of cargo per flight, the service expands our ability to transport high-value shipments including electronics, e-commerce and perishables,” the Atlanta-headquartered carrier said. “As the largest global carrier at LAX, we are continuing to invest in routes that matter to our customers and deliver the premium travel experience they expect from Delta,” Delta Air Lines senior vice president network planning, Paul Baldoni, said.
