Aviation services provider, AAR Corp, has bought maintenance planning software company, Aerostrat, for US$15 million. The agreement includes payments up to US$5 million should certain targets be met post-transaction. "The acquisition immediately expands the reach of AAR’s software offerings and the enterprise resource planning system capabilities of AAR’s Trax subsidiary," AAR Corp said.

HAECO, a leading provider of aircraft engineering and maintenance solutions, has commenced line maintenance support of Cathay Pacific’s A321neo. The contract expands HAECO’s maintenance services with the airline to its narrow-body fleet following on from HAECO’s MRO and line maintenance on Cathay Pacific’s 747-400 freighters, 777-300s, 777-300ERs, A330-300s, A350-900s and A350-1000s.

Malaysia Airports has installed self-service bag drop kiosks at Kota Kinabalu Airport. It is the fourth airport in Malaysia to have self-service bag drop kiosks alongside Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Kuala Lumpur Subang and Penang.

Refinery PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional has shipped its first batch of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) produced from used cooking oil. The Indonesia-headquartered company said the SAF it manufactured will support a Pelita Air Services flight between Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta and Bali Denpasar.
