SMBC Aviation Capital has delivered A321-271NX, equipped with two IAE PW1133G-JM engines, to Air New Zealand. It is the lessor’s second delivery to Air New Zealand of the single aisle type.

Azul, the largest airline in Brazil by flight departures and destinations, has received court approval for motions in its Chapter 11 proceedings, including its agreement with AerCap and the rejection of multiple leases and contracts. The agreement with AerCap, Azul’s largest lessor and representing most of its aircraft and lease liabilities, is expected to provide more than US$1 billion in savings in connection with the operation of its fleet.

Castlelake has established Merit AirFinance, an aviation lending business to provide debt capital to airlines and leasing companies for new and used aviation assets. Merit will build on Castlelake’s aviation lending activity, which has deployed more than $5 billion to airlines and leasing companies since 2020.

Uzbekistan-based cargo airline, My Freighter, in partnership with its cargo sales agent, Air Cargo APAC, has launched scheduled Shanghai-Tashkent-Amsterdam operating twice weekly with a 767-300F.

Saudia Cargo has accepted an A330-300P2F cargo aircraft, MSN 1272, into its fleet on wet lease from ASL Aviation Holdings.
