Changi Airport Group (CAG) is expanding its renewable diesel trial on specialized airport vehicles, raising the blend from 50% to 100%. The operator is using feedstock such as cooking oil collected from eateries at Changi Airport in the trial. The trial began in May.
Burrana, a manufacturer of IFE and cabin technologies, has delivered its RISE Power in-seat power system to launch customer China Southern Airlines (CSA), as part of the carrier’s A320 family line fit program. RISE Power will be integrated into the Jiatai JT220 series economy class cabin of CSA’s A320s.
MTU Maintenance Lease Services, the leasing and asset management arm of MTU Maintenance, has opened a state-of-the-art parts supply warehouse in China’s Zhuhai, its third facility worldwide.
EcoCeres, a pure-play renewable fuels producer, is partnering with Xiamen Airlines to collect and transport waste cooking oil from selected restaurant partners. The waste oil will be processed at EcoCeres’ production plants to produce high quality Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
HALO AirFinance, a GA Telesis and Tokyo Century Corporation joint venture, has closed its sixth senior loan for Crestone Air Partners and Blue Owl Capital investment vehicles. The financing supported the acquisition of one mature A320-200 now leased to a European flag carrier.
Boeing said the acceptance this week of a 787 by Korean Air (KAL) marks the 25th delivery of 787s to KAL, entry of its 1,200th 787 into the global fleet and the 125th acceptance of 787-10s by operators worldwide.
Vietjet has officially broken ground on its US$100 million aircraft maintenance and engineering center at the new Long Thanh International Airport 40 kilometres outside Ho Chi Minh City. The project is one of 80 initiatives planned to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.
