China Southern Airlines to auction 787-8 fleet online

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has renewed its push to sell its 10 787-8s and two spare GEnx-1B engines. Read More » The fleet has been relisted according to information published on the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange. The sale will be conducted by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in a one hour online bidding session. Each aircraft is valued at CNY 359million to 382 million (US$ 50 million to US$53 million). Bidders must purchase the 12 assets in a single transaction. The combined starting price is CNY 3.96 billion. CSA also said potential buyers cannot inspect the aircraft pre-auction.
