Bain Capital has acquired window shade systems company, Aerospace Technologies Group, for an undisclosed sum. Bain owns Japan-headquartered aircraft interiors company, Jamco Corporation.

Etihad Airways has reported profit after tax was higher by 32%, to 1.1 billion dirham (US$306 million), in first half 2025. Revenue increased 16%, to 13.5 billion dirham, the airline said. "We are ahead of the growth levels we set in our strategy, we remain focused on execution and are committed to expansion built on efficiency, service and innovation," Etihad CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, said.

Air travel technology provider, SITA, is offering airlines a new service to support their passenger handling systems. SITA Connect Fly in partnership with Versa represented a "faster, more secure way to connect departure control systems and web applications directly to their passenger-facing workstations, such as check-in kiosks", SITA said.

ST Engineering will lead a five-year AI research program alongside academic and research partners to study how autonomous objects such as robots can tackle complex operational challenges and investigate how they can interact with human and unmanned systems.
