Thai AirAsia X expanding to Almaty from December

Thai AirAsia X (TAAX) will launch nonstop four times a week Bangkok Don Mueang to Almaty Kazakhstan on December 1, operating the route with A330-300s. Read More » TAAX will be the second AirAsia-branded airline to serve Almaty alongside Malaysia-based AirAsia X, which flies to the Kazakhstan city from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. "This route is not only our first step into Central Asia from Thailand, but a bold opportunity to introduce Thai travellers to an exciting destination that is still relatively undiscovered," TAAX CEO, Pattra Boosarawongse, said. Full-service Air Astana operates Almaty-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.
