China Southern Airlines and Qatar Airways expand code-share partnership

From October 16, China Southern Airlines (CSA) will have its CZ airline code on Qatar Airways operated flights from Doha to 15 destinations in Africa, Europe and the Middle East, in an expansion of their partnership. Read More » The Guangzhou-headquartered carrier also will code-share on Qatar Airways from Doha to Chengdu Tianfu, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Shanghai Pudong. At the same time, Qatar Airways will add its QR airline code on CSA operated flights between Beijing Daxing and Doha. Qatar Airways already code shares on CSA’s Guangzhou-Doha rotation. "Together with Qatar Airways, we are expanding opportunities for Chinese passengers to reach destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas through Doha’s Hamad International Airport," CSA CEO, Han Wensheng, said. "This partnership underscores our commitment to building broader global access and delivering world-class service to our customers." Qatar Airways chief commercial officer, Thierry Antinori, said: "This latest expansion ensures every Qatar Airways route to China is accessible to China Southern Airlines’ passengers, underlining our long-term commitment to a market integral to our growth and connectivity."
