Hong Kong Airlines and Etihad expand partnership to include frequent flyers

Members of Hong Kong Airlines’ Fortune Wings Club and Etihad Airways’ Etihad Guest frequent flyer program will be able to earn and redeem miles across both airlines’ networks as part of an expanded partnership between the two carriers. Read More » The two airlines have also added more destinations to their existing codeshare agreement, following Etihad’s commencement of nonstop Abu Dhabi-Hong Kong flights, to include destinations in Japan such as Fukuoka, Okinawa, Osaka and Sapporo served by Hong Kong Airlines. "This partnership marks an important milestone in Hong Kong Airlines’ return to the international market," Hong Kong Airlines executive vice president, Louis Li, said. "The expansion of our codeshare and the launch of a reciprocal loyalty programme not only benefit travellers from both airlines but also lay the foundation for deepened commercial collaboration." Etihad chief revenue and commercial officer, Arik De, said: "This partnership delivers meaningful value to Etihad Guest members through full earn-and-redeem access across Hong Kong Airlines’ network, complemented by codeshare connectivity to high-demand Japanese destinations."
