Thai Airways International (THAI) announced that the checked baggage allowance policy will be transitioning from the weight concept to the piece concept. The change will take effect for the tickets issues after November 25 or November 28, 2025, depending on the destination, for travel commencing on or after March 2, 2026.
On November 27, 2025, China Eastern Airlines (CEA) launched the China Eastern Airlines’ Northeast Branch. It is the CEA’s first regional company in China with operations spanning multiple provinces. Established on the basis of China Eastern’s Shenyang branch, the Northeast Branch oversees bases in Harbin and Changchun, as well as a branch in Dalian, primarily responsible for coordinating local operational support, marketing services, and other related work within the Northeast region.
AirAsia MOVE (MOVE), the online travel agency (OTA) platform, today announced a new partnership with GalaxyJoy, the digital lifestyle loyalty platform of Vietnam’s investment group Sovico. This collaboration enables MOVE to add Vietjet Air’s flight inventory to the MOVE platform to offer more competitive Vietjet Air flight options to travellers across Asean.
Sabre signed a long-term partnership with Lao Airlines in both Airline Distribution and Airline IT. The multi-year agreement will equip Lao Airlines with the SabreSonic PSS capabilities and Airline Retailing technology, coupled with our broad network of distribution and agency partners.
