IndiGo CEO declares operations "stable"

IndiGo CEO, Pieter Elbers, is "profusely apologetic" to the thousands of passengers impacted by the LCC’s flight cancellations of late last week. Read More » "I am here to share that your airline, IndiGo, is back on its feet and our operations are stable," Elbers said in a video message released by the airline. "We have let you down when a major operational disruption happened and we are sorry for that." The airline had increased daily operations to more than 1,800 flights by December 9 compared with 700 flights on December 5. "As of yesterday we are back flying to all 138 destinations in our network and our on-time performance has been normalized," Elbers said. "I can confirm that at December 9 our operations are fully stabilised. This means flights reflecting on our website are scheduled to operate with an adjusted network." Elbers added the LCC continued to fully cooperate with India’s government.
