Jetstar Airways will start nonstop Colombo-Melbourne on August 25, 2026. Read More » The Qantas Group LCC has scheduled the route three times a week, operated by 787-8s. "Colombo is an incredible destination and from August next year we are excited to be making it easier for Aussies to experience everything the beautiful country of Sri Lanka has to offer," Jetstar CEO, Stephanie Tully, said. "This new route from our home base is part of a huge growth phase for Jetstar. We have added destinations and more aircraft. We are continuing to expand our international network to give travellers more choice and opportunities to take off for less." SriLankan is the only airline flying nonstop Australia-Sri Lanka. The oneworld alliance member serves Melbourne and Sydney from its Colombo home hub.
