Vietnam Airlines, Sun PhuQuoc Airways firm up orders for Boeing aircraft

It was previously listed on the Boeing orders and deliveries website as from an unidentified customer. "We selected the Boeing 787-9 not only for its superior operational performance, but because it is the most suitable aircraft type to realize our vision of bringing Phu Quoc to the world and bringing the world to Phu Quoc," Sun Group chair, Dang Minh Truong, said. Sun Group is the parent company of Sun PhuQuoc Airways.
Still in Vietnam, flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has finalized an order for 50 737 MAX 8s. The airline signed a commitment for the 50 of the type in September 2023. "The investment in 50 Boeing 737-8s marks a significant step in building a modern, fuel-efficient fleet while enhancing operational performance and elevating service standards to meet international benchmarks," Vietnam Airlines chair, Dang Ngoc Hoa, said.
