Japan Airlines tweaks meal service on long-haul routes

Japan Airlines (JAL) will offer a dedicated second meal service to business class passengers on its long-haul routes from next month. Read More » This second meal service replaces the existing arrangement where business class passengers are able to order any items from an a la carte menu until about two hours before landing. "More familiar to travellers worldwide, this transition ensures a seamless and intuitive service for first-time international guests," the oneworld alliance member said. "JAL remains dedicated to delivering products and services that resonate with customer values and remain in their hearts." The a la carte menu remains available for passengers to order from in between the first and second meal service. Other changes included more premium wine, sake and non-alcoholic drink options. JAL has also announced two new partner chefs - Natsuko Shoji and Nae Ogawa - as well as reaffirmed its collaboration with the RED U-35 chef competition for young chefs.
