DHL Group and International Airlines Group’s (IAG) cargo business have extended their partnership on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) by a further five years. The agreement covers about 240 million litres of SAF uplift at London Heathrow, helping reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions of DHL Express cargo transported on IAG carrier British Airways’ flights.
ANA HOLDINGS INC.’s corporate venture capital fund has made an investment ADDress, a startup offering subscriptions for people to live in multiple locations. The investment by the ANA Future Frontier Fund followed collaboration with ADDress on some pilot programs.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) introduced direct route operations (DRO) in the Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu flight information regions as a fuel-saving measure. The initiative was expected to result in 17 million ringgit (US$4 million) in annual savings through reduced fuel use. "The implementation of DRO enables aircraft to operate on more direct flight paths, commonly referred to as shortcut routes, thereby reducing overall flight distances and optimising fuel consumption," the CAAM explained.
