GE Aerospace reported net profit of US$2.20 billion for the three months to March 31 2026, down 2% from US$2.25 billion in the same three months in 2025. Revenue rose 25% to US$12.4 billion, GE Aerospace said in a regulatory filing. "Our young and diverse fleet coupled with a US$170 billion commercial services backlog positions us well to navigate the current operating environment," GE Aerospace chair and CEO, Lawrence Culp Jr, said. "With the dynamic geopolitical landscape, we’re holding our full-year guidance across the board and are trending toward the high-end of the range given our strong start to the year."

The International Air Transport Association will open a new office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as well as establish a billing and settlement plan (BSP) in the country to facilitate and simplify financial transactions between its member airlines and accredited passenger sales agents. "The IATA office and BSP in Uzbekistan will provide strategic support to grow air travel through boosting aviation safety and operational efficiency," IATA regional vice president for Europe, Rafael Schvartzman, said.

Sun Group has selected SITA as its "strategic technology partner" for its airport developments in Vietnam. This includes the installation of SITA kiosks for checkin and bag drop, flight information display screens, boarding gates and baggage workstations, as well as platforms for managing baggage handling, passenger information and operational databases at Phu Quoc Airport’s new Terminal 2. "This partnership reflects our shared vision of elevating Vietnam’s aviation sector, and we look forward to working closely with SITA to bring innovative, future-ready solutions to Phu Quoc and our upcoming airport developments," Sun Group president, Nguyen Chi Thanh, said. SITA president for Asia-Pacific, Sumesh Patel, said: "As Phu Quoc evolves into a key aviation hub ahead of APEC 2027, we are proud to support Sun Group’s vision of delivering world-class passenger experiences while strengthening connectivity across Vietnam."

Recaro said its PL3530 premium economy and CL3710 economy seats have been selected by Air India for installation on its 787-8 fleet as part of the airline’s retrofit program for the aircraft type.
