IndiGo to commence operations at Noida International Airport in June

IndiGo will start flying into and out of Jewar’s Noida International Airport (NIA) in Uttar Pradesh from June 15. Read More » The LCC is the launch airline for the new airport. It was expected to eventually build its operation out of the airport, located in India’s National Capital Region (NCR), to at least 16 nonstop routes linking NIA to key metropolitan cities such as Bengaluru and Hyderabad, as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities including Amritsar, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, Pantnagar and Srinagar. "We are pleased to announce the launch of our operations from Noida International Airport, the third airport in the National Capital Region," IndiGo chief strategy officer, Aloke Singh, said. "Strategically positioned on the Yamuna Expressway, NIA will be the new gateway for western Uttar Pradesh, alongside the NCR. Large metropolitan regions of India are maturing to support multiple airports, and IndiGo is proud to contribute to this evolution by serving all three in the NCR - IGI Airport, Hindon, and now NIA."
