SIA Group reports 7.5% passenger growth for April

Singapore Airlines Group (SIA) flew 3.6 million passengers in April, an increase of more than 250,000 travellers from the 3.4 million carried in the same month in 2025. Read More » The full-service Singapore Airlines posted 4.8% growth in passengers to 2.4 million, while LCC Scoot had 12.9% more passengers at 1.3 million in the month. "The SIA Group continued to benefit from spillover passenger traffic and cargo loads, particularly on passenger services to Europe and the Americas, as capacity through the Middle East hubs remained constrained by the ongoing conflict in the region," SIA said in a regulatory filing. Singapore Airlines’ passenger load factor was up 0.8 of a percentage point at 87.7%. By contrast, passenger load factor at Scoot was 0.4 of a percentage point lower at 91%. The group’s revenue passenger kilometres were 7% higher, while capacity increased 6.3% in the month. SIA lifted its cargo capacity 2.3% in April, while the cargo load factor was up 0.8 of a percentage point at 57.9%.
