EVA Airways reports record Q1 net profit, strengthens Kaohsiung hub

Read More » The net profit was a record for the first quarter and its second-highest quarterly figure, the company said, attributing it to strong demand during the Lunar New Year holiday and the winter vacation period. The number of passengers transported during the first quarter increased 10.1%, and the average load factor was 84.1%.
On May 20, 2026, the carrier based one of its Airbus A330-300 aircraft at Kaohsiung Airport in Southern Taiwan. The wide-body jet will operate flights to and from Kaohsiung, Narita, Shanghai Pudong, and Macau. The A330, equipped with 309 seats in two classes (30 business class and 279 economy class), will offer 70% capacity increase compared to the Airbus A321 jet previously used on the routes.
