Air China Cargo firms up order for four more A350F freighters

Read More » The top-up order, which Air China Cargo flagged was imminent in a regulatory filing in early May, lifts its total order of the A350F to 10 aircraft. "This additional order, following our initial A350F order last year, is a crucial strategic decision for the company to further optimise our fleet structure and expand transport capacity," Air China Cargo vice-president, Wang Hongyan, said. "It will allow us to better match and meet the demands of the international air cargo market, laying a solid foundation for the company’s long-term stable development." Currently, Air China Cargo operates a mix of A330F, 747-400F and 777F freighters. "We are very pleased with Air China Cargo’s decision to increase its order for the A350F freighter," Airbus executive vice president for sales of the commercial aircraft business, Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, said. "It reflects Air China Cargo’s full confidence in Airbus’ products and reaffirms the A350F’s leading position as the next-generation freighter." The A350F was expected to enter service in 2027.
