Delta Air Lines to add capacity to China from October

Delta Air Lines announces that starting from October 7, 2026, it will increase the number of flights on the Los Angeles-Shanghai Pudong route from three per week to five per week. Read More » After the increase, Delta will operate 19 direct flights per week between mainland China and the United States, including the existing daily direct flights from Shanghai Pudong to Seattle and Detroit. All Delta flights from Shanghai Pudong to the three major hub airports of Los Angeles, Seattle, and Detroit will be operated by Airbus A350-900s, equipped with Delta Suites, Delta Premium Economy, Delta Elite Economy, and Economy Class seats. According to the Mainland media, the passenger traffic between China and the US has recovered to 27.3% of the pre-pandemic level (2019).
