SIRIUS Aviation Capital Holdings announced that ITOCHU Corporation has taken a strategic shareholding in the business. ITOCHU joins existing shareholder Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners (ADCP), the Abu Dhabi-based strategic investment platform jointly owned by Mubadala Capital and Alpha Wave Global.
South Korea’s Daemyung Sono Group has committed an additional KRW 110 billion (US$80 million) to T’way Air, reinforcing its efforts to stabilize the low-cost carrier following its recent acquisition of management control. The investment will be made through the purchase of perpetual securities, strengthening T’way Air’s balance sheet while improving liquidity and reducing leverage. The move follows more than KRW 400 billion already invested by Daemyung Sono to acquire stakes in both T’way Air and its holding company. Alongside the capital injection, T’way Air plans a 5-for-1 reverse stock split to raise its share price and reduce the risk of falling below South Korea’s new delisting threshold for low-priced stocks. The airline’s shares have recently traded below KRW 1,000, placing it at risk under upcoming exchange regulations.
