9 Air to launch Yinchuan-Guangzhou-Singapore service in August

9 Air, the LCC subsidiary of Juneyao Air, said that on August 10, it will inaugurate the Yinchuan-Guangzhou-Singapore route, operated daily with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Read More » The LCC described the route as a “key step in the expansion of its Southeast Asian network.” Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office commented that the launch comes amid a significant increase in capacity on the Guangzhou-Singapore route. With 9 Air’s new service, the Guangzhou-Singapore market is expected to reach as many as 66 flights per week, with up to 10 departures a day at peak frequency. “This reinforces Guangzhou’s position as one of the largest gateways between China and Southeast Asia,” the office wrote in a statement.
