AirAsia Philippines and the Philippines Department of Tourism (DOT) have signed a partnership agreement which aims to encourage more Filipinos to travel domestically. "At AirAsia, we are one with DOT in its efforts to keep travel accessible so that more Filipinos can discover and appreciate the incredible destinations within our own country," AirAsia Philippines president and general manager, Anna Victoria Lu, said. "Despite these challenging times, AirAsia strives to provide the best fares and deals for our customers."

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has provided Airbus with a 3 billion euro (US$3.4 billion) loan to support the aerospace company’s research and development and innovation programs, among other areas, in both its commercial and defence operations.

Malaysia Airports said its transformation efforts had gained pace in the 15 months since the company was privatised in March 2025. "The achievements charted over the past 15 months collectively point to our commitment to drive a focused business plan to enhance services, drive growth and build capacity," Malaysia Airports managing director, Dato’ Mohd Izani Ghani, said. "Importantly, this is not just about KLIA but includes all 38 airports in our Malaysia operations. The wins so far signal we are on the right path, but we remain mindful that transformation is a long-term journey."

There were about 24 million bags mishandled by airlines last year, down 23% compared with 2024, the SITA Baggage IT Insights report said. The travel technology company said the decline in mishandled bags was a sign that digital transformation efforts were starting to take effect. “Baggage is shifting from a logistical problem to a digital service,” SITA portfolio director for baggage, Nicole Hogg, said. SITA CEO, David Lavorel, said: "Data, AI and predictive operations let us get more out of the airport we already have, at check-in, security, the gate, on the apron and in baggage halls. Baggage shows the formula works."
