Air India’s owner sets up interim committee to lead the carrier until appointment of new CEO

Air India will be led by an interim management committee until a new CEO is found, The Economic Times reported. Read More » The body is being set up by Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, who will be on the committee, along with Pradeep Singh Kharola, who served as chairman and managing director of Air India from 2017 to 2019, before taking over the role of Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation responsible for the airline’s privatization process. Last month, Kharola returned to Air India as executive director to the chairman. Campbell Wilson, the current CEO of Air India, who resigned in April, is set to leave the airline in September.
