Taiwan’s STARLUX Airlines announced on social media that from January 1, 2027, it will inaugurate its latest Taiwanese base in Kaohsiung. Read More » “STARLUX is expanding further south, with Kaohsiung officially becoming our newest base. From January 1, 2027, a new chapter of STARLUX travel begins in southern Taiwan,” the carrier said, without revealing the destinations served from southern Taiwan. AeroRoutes reported the carrier applied for permission to fly on the Kaohsiung-Kobe route. Currently, the carrier operates from its main hub in Taipei Taoyuan Airport and a base in Taichung. In offering flights from Kaohsiung, it will join Taiwan-headquartered China Airlines (CAL) Group carriers and EVA Airways.
