ANA confirms launch date, route for Green Pokémon 787-9

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will start flying its Green Pokémon special livery 787-9 from September 18, with the NH186/185 between Tokyo Haneda and Honolulu the inaugural route. Read More » The aircraft, registration JA923A, is one of three special livery aircraft to celebrate 30 years of collaboration between the airline and Pokémon alongside a 737-800 Blue Pokémon registration JA56AN - due to start flying in December on domestic routes - and a Red Pokémon 787-8 registration JA819A, which commenced operations on domestic routes in July. "Together with Pokémon, the ANA Group remains committed to creating travel experiences that spark discovery and connect people around the world," ANA said. The Star Alliance member said the Green Pokémon was also scheduled to operate on 10 routes from Haneda - Bangkok, Delhi, Jakarta, Honolulu, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seattle, Singapore, Sydney and Vancouver, as well as from Tokyo Narita to Bangkok, Jakarta, Mumbai, Perth and Singapore. For those playing the game, ANA and Pokémon have also added PokéStops and Gyms at 14 airports across Japan.
