Kansai Airport sees 11% fewer passengers than the year before in July

Kansai Airports Group reported that Kansai Airport served 2,482,521 passengers in July, down 11% from the same month of the previous year, marking the eighth consecutive month of declines. Read More » Among this number, 1,971,467 passengers, 12% less than a year earlier, traveled on international flights. Of these, foreign passport holders were down 15%. The number of visitors from China fell by 63% year-on-year to 294,000. In the same month last year, Chinese accounted for 36% of foreign visitors. This year, the share was reduced by 21 ppt to 15%.
