EgyptAir headed to Singapore and Sydney next year

EgyptAir will start flying to Singapore and Sydney from its Cairo hub next year. Read More » The two cities will be served as part of a Cairo-Singapore-Sydney routing. EgyptAir announced the two new destinations at the El Alamein airshow. A start date, flight schedules and aircraft type for the new route were not disclosed. "Partnering with Sydney Airport is an important step in growing EgyptAir’s international network and strengthening links between Egypt, Singapore and Australia," EgyptAir chair and CEO, Captain Ahmed Adel, said. "The new service will make travel between our regions easier and support growing demand for tourism, business, education and visiting friends and relatives." EgyptAir will be Sydney Airport’s 54th airline. "Egypt is the largest unserved African market for Australian travellers, and a Sydney service by EgyptAir is a big step forward in improving connectivity between Australia and Egypt," Sydney Airport CEO, Scott Charlton, said. "We look forward to working with EgyptAir as it progresses its plans for Sydney."
