China Airlines strengthens its Kaohsiung network with Takamatsu charter service

China Airlines (CAL), a Taiwan-based carrier, said it launched exclusive Kaohsiung-Takamatsu charter flights on September 17, 2026, operating three times per week. The aircraft is configured for two classes - Premium Economy and Economy - and will be assigned to the regular Manila and Okinawa routes, as well as the Takamatsu charter flights. The SkyTeam member airline said it continues to strengthen its Kaohsiung network to better service travelers in southern Taiwan. On September 17, the Kaohsiung-Okinawa route became a daily service. CAL will also launch its new Kaohsiung-Seoul (Gimpo) service on October 1, operating three flights per week, complementing the existing four weekly Kaohsiung-Seoul (Incheon) flights. “China Airlines flights from Kaohsiung now fly to 16 major cities across Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and other destinations, making it the leading Taiwanese airline at Kaohsiung airport with more than 80 flights each week. New routes and high-quality services are constantly being introduced for travelers departing from Kaohsiung, creating a more extensive network that makes China Airlines the preferred Taiwanese airline in southern Taiwan,” CAL said in a statement.
