Singapore Changi returns to passengers growth in August

The number of air travellers at Changi Airport rose 1.5% to 6 million in August, compared with 5.9 million the same month last year. Read More » It was the first month of year-on-year passenger growth at Changi since March, with passenger numbers having fallen for four consecutive months between April and July. The August figure was 1.6% above the 5.9 million passengers who travelled through Changi in the pre-COVID-19 period in August 2019. Changi passenger traffic has fallen below pre-pandemic levels in June and July. Air freight volumes were 7.2% higher in August at 190,000 tonnes, and the number of commercial aircraft movements was 4.7% higher at 32,200 in the 31 days.
