Singapore Airlines unveils updated dining and beverage options and new serviceware

Read More » Improving its meal offerings is one part of SIA’s "elevated end-to-end travel experience" alongside next-generation inflight entertainment, amenities in the air, inflight connectivity and ground services expected to be launched in Singapore in November. "At Singapore Airlines, in-flight dining is about much more than the meal itself," SIA senior vice president for customer experience, Yeoh Phee Teik, said. "Guided by customer feedback, evolving preferences and emerging dining trends, we have reviewed every aspect of the experience - from menu design, seasonal ingredients, and cooking techniques to beverage selection, presentation, and cabin crew service." Highlights of the new meal service include new serviceware from French brand Christofle and the SIA Chefs’ Selection of more than 100 "new and refreshed" appetisers, main courses, and desserts across all cabin classes. Dishes include a "retro meets modern" prawn cocktail, beef short rib sambal percik with nasi kerabu and tandoor roasted paneer with velvet gravy.
