Etihad Aviation Group names Ray Gammell interim group CEO

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Aviation Group on Monday confirmed that group president and CEO, James Hogan, would leave Etihad on July 1, and named chief people and performance officer, Ray Gammell, as his interim replacement. Read More »

The ‘National Airline of the United Arab Emirates’ said Gammell would assume “full management responsibilities” with immediate effect, practically leaving Hogan without a job through to July.

Etihad said Hogan’s permanent successor will be announced “in the next few weeks”.


Bombardier’s Beaudoin reduces role amid investor angst

Canada’s Bombardier Inc. has announced, Pierre Beaudoin (54), will resign as executive chairman of the group, but will retain his chairmanship of the company. Beaudoin was forced to reduce his responsibilities at Bombardier following opposition to his re-election from some of Canada’s largest pension funds, The Wall Street Journal has reported.

Last month, unhappy investors objected to a significant increase in compensation for several Bombadier executives, including Beaudoin. The remuneration increases, which were rolled back, were revealed after the company received a reported US$1 billion in financing from Quebec and federal governments.
