French President: China to buy 184 A320 Family jets

Many in the industry were surprised when French President, Emmanuel Macron, appeared to have left China this week without a much anticipated order. Read More »
But that turned out not to be the case after Macron told Chinese media before he flew onto Italy overnight on Wednesday that China had indeed agreed to order 184 Airbus A320 Family jets, mainly A320neo, with deliveries to 13 Mainland carriers in 2019-2020.
Nevertheless, Airbus did not announce the deal this week, sparking speculation that either the order had not been finalised or that it has been previously listed as undisclosed. At press time, no further information was available about the details of the order.
