SriLankan Airlines accepts final A320neo Family aircraft

Sri Lankan national carrier, SriLankan Airlines, has taken delivery of a sixth and final A320neo Family aircraft, an A321neo registered 4R-ANF. Read More » SriLankan’s A320neo Family fleet is on lease from AerCap and powered exclusively by CFM International LEAP-1A engines.

The oneworld member now operates four A321neo, two A320neo, three A321ceo, five A320ceo, six A330-200s and seven A330-300s.

The neo aircraft are typically deployed on the airline’s longer stage length services, including flights from its Colombo hub to Hong Kong, Singapore and the Gulf.

The carrier’s long-haul network is limited. Currently, SriLankan serves London’s Heathrow Airport and Melbourne with A330-300s.The airline’s haemorrhaging continues, although somewhat less. SriLankan has been unable to secure new investors.
