Australian cargo operator commences Singapore service

Tasman Cargo Airlines has commenced freighter services between Australia and Singapore with a five times a week 767-300F Melbourne-Darwin-Singapore routing, Changi Airport Group (CAG) said in a statement. Read More » The airport operator said Tasman Cargo Airlines was the first Australian-based freighter airline to serve the airport. Its flights were chartered by DHL Express. "This new service will strengthen Singapore’s position as the leading international freight gateway for Australia and is especially important to serving essential supplies and growing e-commerce demand during the pandemic,” CAG managing director of air hub development, Lim Ching Kiat, said. Tasman Cargo Airlines is DHL Express’s10th airline partner at Changi. "To cope with rising shipment volume and ensure we continue to provide timely deliveries to our customers, we have swiftly responded [to demand] by adding flights connecting Australia to the rest of the world," DHL Express Asia-Pacific executive vice president for network operations and aviation, Sean Wall, said.
