ST Engineering’s commercial aerospace business has secured a multi-year component maintenance-by-the-hour (MBH) contract from Japan Airlines. Under the five-year contract, ST Engineering will provide fully integrated component support to the entire fleet of 787s belonging to Japan Airlines and its LCC subsidiary, ZIPAIR Tokyo. CAE will acquire Sabre’s Corporation’s AirCentre airline operations portfolio of flight and crew management solutions. The agreement, valued at US$392.5 million excluding post-closing adjustments, includes the Sabre AirCentre product portfolio, related technology and intellectual property as well as the transfer of AirCentre’s workforce.
