Read More » The twice a week service will be operated with A330-300s configured with 27 business, 16 extra-legroom economy and 247 economy seats. “As we anticipate a promising development from Japan’s international border reopening, this timely expansion will enhance connectivity between ASEAN markets and drive greater traffic recovery between Malaysia and Japan,” Malaysia Airlines Berhad Group CEO, Captain Izham Ismail, said. “This expansion will allow us to tap new opportunities by operating to Asia’s third busiest airport and the fourth busiest airport in the world. It will stimulate inbound traffic to benefit Malaysian tourism and build a stronger multiplier effect across the value chain of the industry.” The new Kuala Lumpur-Tokyo Haneda service will be the oneworld alliance member's fourth route to Japan after Kuala Lumpur-Tokyo Narita, Kota Kinabalu-Tokyo Narita and Kuala Lumpur-Osaka. Malaysia Airlines and Japan Airlines commenced a joint business partnership on Malaysia-Japan routes in 2020.
