Oliver Wyman revises long-term commercial fleet forecast

Aviation consultancy, Oliver Wyman, is forecasting the global commercial aviation fleet will increase by 8,920 aircraft, to 36,305 in 2033, from 27,385 today. Read More » In 2022, it predicted the 2032 worldwide fleet would be 38,189 aircraft. Its latest Global Fleet and MRO Market Forecast for 2023-2033, said: “this industry has been jostled by enormous turbulence since the start of COVID-19, but 2022 proved its resilience.” Global partner and head of the consultancy’s fleet research study, Brian Prentice, said: “the next 10 years look even brighter as fleets expand to meet increasing demand for air travel and participate in the potential dramatic growth of emerging markets like India.”
