India’s airlines report 3.8% decline in domestic passengers for February

Airlines operating domestic India services carried 12.1 million passengers in February, down from 12.5 million domestic travellers they transported in January. Read More » Despite the decline, the February figures were 56.8% above the 7.7 million domestic passengers flown in the same month a year ago. Compared with pre-COVID-19 operations, last month's total was 106% of the 11.3 million domestic air travellers India’s airlines flew in pre-COVID February 2019 India's Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) reports. Once again, LCC IndiGo was India's leading domestic carrier for the month, with 6.7 million passengers transported, or 55.9% of the domestic market, followed by Tata Group carriers Air India at 1.08 million passengers (8.9% market share) and Vistara at 1.05 million customers (8.7% market share).
