China Eastern Airlines domestic passengers up 11.9% in April

China Eastern Airlines (CEA) carried 8.8 million domestic passengers last month, up from 7.9 million passengers in April and 219% higher than the 2.5 million domestic passengers the airline flew in the same month in 2022. Compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the SkyTeam alliance member's April 2023 domestic passenger numbers were in line with the 8.8 million in-country customers CEA carried in March 2019. Domestic capacity, or available seat kilometres, was 124.8% against the same month four years ago.
